Journey Travelled

Reflecting on the experiences and circumstances of my friends and colleagues gives me cause to think deeply-particularly as I see some who have or are retiring, or have taken other life directions. All this as I recently embarked on a new (academic) career, far from my origins (philosophically and physically) and later in life than expected. We each take a path that is unique and challenging-paths that take us to diverse places. I applaud those people I know or knew in their choices (free or forced). Even if our paths will not again meet, I thank you for the time travelled. May your journey be the best it can be.
